Rudimentary at best

Simplistic overview of coming off the grid with very few pearls or increase knowledge base I was not impressed with any of the information in terms of detail it is very broad overall also the narrator sounded very mechanical with frequent odd pronunciations of the words

Great audio on the off-grid living concept.

Highly recommended for those starting to contemplate off-grid living. Not a lot of details on each of the items to consider but great for identifying all the things that need to be considered. Would also recommend for those who want to be a little more ‘free’ but not truly off-grid ad many of the concepts can be applied even with a little bit of land.

This is a nice list of stuff to consider, very short. But not a guide this is just a list.

This does not go into detail about anything, it’s more a list of very high level stuff to consider at the very initial stages of considering an off grid lifestyle. For anyone who has more than briefly considered off grid living, you probably know more than what is offered in this book. This book would probably be good for someone who knows what the grid is, and has not considered the most basic strategy for getting off grid. The narration in the audible version of this book is very clear which is great. The entire book was read in maybe an hour or so.

Recommend To Buy Paperback Instead:

For those (city people) who may find interest in Living Off the Grid and looking for books where to get started. I would only recommend this book in paperback instead of audio. It's an "introduction" book that brings forth a check off list for you to do extensive research on the subjects addressed in this book that is needed for this living lifestyle.

Unhelpful

I found this book fairly redundant. It raised a few possible issues to look into regarding living off the grid but basically just suggests research.
