DELIVERS THE GOODS - NO BATE AND SWITCH DEALS

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

YES...... Easy to listen to and easy to understand. The narrator doesn't act like he's in a hurry to read the material and get it over with.

What was one of the most memorable moments of How to Study Poker, Volume 1q?

In Chapter 5,Utilizing The Learning Process Model. The quote from Helen Hayes, "The expert in anything was once a beginner." Makes me feel like its ok to start over again even though I've failed many times.

Which scene was your favorite?

In Chapter 14, Control Tilt With Logic Statements. Another great Quote, "Anger is only one letter short of danger", by Eleanor Roosevelt. Coming to grips with Tilt makes all the difference in the world. For me Tilt was like a bad habit that I just couldn't brake. An addiction too strong to concur. But by injecting the carefully crafted logic statements into my head I've gotten past my negative emotions. Now I play my best regardless of what the cards bring me.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

There is no way of succeeding with out Strong Study Habits. I'm living proof of this fact. I've read many poker books over the years that I never studied. And then I would wondered why I wasn't getting better. No one had taken the time to write a book on how to study poker until Sky Matsuhashi came along.

Any additional comments?

Many poker books will start off by saying if your a beginning poker player this book isn't for you. So when I tried to find a beginner poker book it would take me just so far and then leave me hanging. It would just assume I should know this or that. And then there are the poker courses where the instructor thinks you should already know this or that. And when there teaching they talk so fast you can't understand them and they won't sell you there manuscripts so you can review on your own. And then there are those that get you to buy there book and when you ask them for a video series that goes over their book they try to sell you a $500 online poker course. To me that feels like a bate and switch deal. These and many other reasons are why I completely endorse Sky Matsuhashi and all of his Poker Teaching material. He provides you free of charge a download of all of his Podcast shows. He's not going to rip you off with any bate and switch deals. I feel like I have finally found the Poker Teacher and Author that I've been looking for, for a long time. I'm looking forward to his next book that may come out in July of this year. I feel like Sky is the teacher that gets me and knows how to teach me where I can finally learn.

This book will improve your profitability!!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I have read many many poker books. I have often gotten a few tips and tricks and usually improved my game slightly by most of the common poker books are limited in their scope, Sky's approach offers a lot more! Sky gives the tools that enable one to continuously improve their poke game (my second favorite poker book is The Mental Game of Poker). This book and Sky's podcasts have allowed me to improve my profitability massively! I have gone from being a losing player to a winning player. I have played 40,000 hands since studying with Sky's technique am winning over 5 BBs per 100 BBs vs the 40,000 hands previous which were -20 BBs. THANK YOU.

What was one of the most memorable moments of How to Study Poker, Volume 1q?

Continuous improvement. Giving me the skills to improve and innovate my own game. The skills to see my leaks.

Have you listened to any of Sky Matsuhashi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This book is the perfect companion to the Podcasts.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Learning to analyse my own hands and my frequencies has been invaluable.

Any additional comments?

Awesome book for any poker player who wants to play a better game, make profit and CRUSH.

Simple, effective, to the point

This is geared for poker but can be used to study basically anything. Poker is where you get most of the benefit, this book is made to enhance the other poker books/courses/videos/whatever you use, making it definitely worth the price (or credit)

Well done, great book.

Just finished listening to HTDP Vol 1. Great material. Looking forward to going back through it and getting the work done that is laid out so well in the book. Working to take my live poker game up from 1-3 NLH to 5-5 and beyond. This book has to road map to do just that.

How To Bluff a Book About Poker

What disappointed you about How to Study Poker, Volume 1q?

There was no substance. I listened until chapter 9. Every chapter is propped up by a quote from some famous person and then nothing of substance is shared. It's like empty promise after empty promise. Like I got conned.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Nothing from this author.

What didn’t you like about Sky Matsuhashi’s performance?

It's time wanna-be authors stopped introducing every chapter of their cruddy book with a quote from someone of consequence.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I'd say no. This is second only to the Life-Changing Magic of Tidying as far a blatant effort to fill 100 pages and make some ka-ching is concerned.
