Publisher's summary

Many great accounts of the fateful night of April 14th and 15th of 1912 have been told about the sinking of the RMS Titanic. Over the past one hundred and one years, the stories of the people and the disaster have been explained in art, movies, books, music, and verse.

This audiobook begins with two original poems I have written to commemorate the ship's first, last, and only voyage and the heroics demonstrated by some of those souls on board, some who survived and others who did not.

Other wonderful and historic poems from the years immediately following the disaster are included here along with musical tributes. Some of the poems are famous, while others were penned by unknown poets.

The healing properties of the poems and songs

There are some beautiful and poignant poems and songs based on the sinking of the Titanic. It paints grim pictures of women holding their children over their heads to keep them safe and how their story ends. It brings to life, the horror of the thousands that died that night. The poems were written by both unknown and famous poets and songwriters. It is a sign of how much the tragedy touched people of all ages and classes.

When you hear the survivor tales make you realize how terrible it was for husbands and wives to be separated and the decisions that were made by several couples not to be separated.

A must have if you'd like all things Titanic!

Would you consider the audio edition of Titanic Poetry, Music & Stories to be better than the print version?

Since this book consists of a Lot of poetry, the audible version it is wonderful. Poetry is really nice when it is read to you.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, this was a great book to listen to all in one sitting. You were brought back to the era and time of the Titanic sinking and once you were there, you just wanted to stay in developed. Your thoughts just become centred on that point of time and history and it is great to stay focused rate until the end. Luckily, the length of the book is suited to one sitting reading!

Any additional comments?

The author does so much research and finds obscure facts that really add to the experience of reading this book. He comes up with information that you don't come across in other books that really add to your knowledge and understanding of what happened. I really loved the story about the animals being saved. Never heard that anywhere else before.
