Publisher's Summary

There was a time when Israel could do no wrong in America's eyes. That time is long past, and justly so - no nation is absolutely perfect, particularly not one that is engaged in a conflict as long as the Arab-Israeli conflict. But the myth of the perfect Israel has been supplanted by a far more deleterious myth: the myth of the evil Israel. This new myth has so pervaded contemporary culture that the history of Israel - as well documented as it is - has been recast and retold to fit a false narrative of Israel as violent occupier.

A great book! But learn to pronounce Safed!

This is a fantastic book.
With all the negative press Israel gets, especially from the West, this book lays out the facts and provides relevant comparisons to other ways similar situations were handled in the world.
Chuck full of facts to counter the Facebook warriors who think they know the entire story from a few memes!

However, learn to pronounce Hebrew names correctly! This is not the first audiobook on Israel I have encountered this issue.
It is not Heb-ron, it is Hayb-rown
It is not Saf-fed, it is Tsfat, and often spelled this way!
It is not Ache-ker (Acre) but Akrah, or Akko
I learned this all the hard way visiting there now a couple times.

Superb audiobook

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is a must read for those interested in learning more about the Arab-Israeli conflict. There is so much misinformation perpetuated by the mainstream media. This book brings some clarity to a very complex and volatile issue.
