Publisher's summary

Listeners around the world have thrilled to Killing Lincoln, Killing Kennedy, and Killing Jesus - riveting works of nonfiction that journey into the heart of the most famous murders in history. Now, from Bill O'Reilly, anchor of The O'Reilly Factor, comes the most epic book of all in this multimillion-selling series: Killing Patton.

General George S. Patton, Jr., died under mysterious circumstances in the months following the end of World War II. For almost 70 years, there has been suspicion that his death was not an accident - and may very well have been an act of assassination. Killing Patton will take listeners inside the final year of the war and recount the events surrounding Patton's tragic demise, naming names of the many powerful individuals who wanted him silenced.

What did you love best about Killing Patton?

The way the story told us some of the real facts about this really Tragic story of one of Americans Greatest Generals.

What other book might you compare Killing Patton to and why?

The Whole Killing series, Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard have brought History to life in ways others have failed to do so. From Killing Lincoln which is an amazing work, to Killing Kennedy which again is truly amazing work. Killing Jesus can touch your soul all of these are great works must reads, must listens for sure. This series isn't just about the person it's about the Time that person lived and the people around them and alive at the time. In Killing Patton you will hear about Hitler, Stalin, Churchill, Eisenhower and amazing hero's from a PFC to the many men that gave there freedom so we all have ours. Truly amazing stories inside this story

In Wartime, I Would Want Him On My Side!

Where does Killing Patton rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Among the "pop" literature books that I have listened to I would rank it as one of the best. I found the story compelling as I learned a great deal about the charterers of the leaders in the European theater of WWII and their relationships with one another.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Patton! He was a man designed and fashioned as a warrior who proved invaluable to the allied forces in WWII.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Patton, Coincidence or Conspiracy?

Highly reccommended

Great listen. Fast paced. Loaded with detail that does not weigh down the narrative.Extra bonus is the list of characters at the end with details on their lives after the war and of their ages at time of passing.
There was a negative bias in the book
against Eisenhower's caution in lethe War effort in leading the Allied forces.the authors assume that almost strategic decision made by Patton was correct and was overruled by Ike.Patton was a fighter , not a diplomat which Ike had to be.interesting though, that Ike's deference to the Russians served to enable them to take over all of Eastern Europe.
The authors make a convincing case that Patton was assassinated.
The book could have been voiced better by a professional narrator. There are errors in the reading as well as an assassination of foreign place names.
But overall a very good book.highly recommended.

Impressive......

There are so many little trinkets of history that are never revealed in other sources that it is a 'must read'!

Great related side stories

A fast paced account of Patton’s WWII leadership and dogmatic focus on the all mentality. The accompanying side stories of major figures and events brings an added dimension to Patton’s warrior of the ages story.
