Story, true, of an extrodinary rescue .

A must read to learn all the political intriguing events surrounding this high jacked plane and passengers. Although it happened in 1976, it is as fresh today as 1076. Narrator was excellent.

Israel is just plain dam AUSOME

Israel is the true epitome of a democracy protecting their people. I congratulate them I think this is an awesome awesome example about what every country should try to do for the citizens I know the u.s. has tried and they succeeded many times this is how it should be it's funny how Israel predicted in 1976. that soon if United Nations or the democracies of the world didn't come together and fight terrorism it would not be just Israel being terrorized it would move out until all the world which in 2018 just as surely happened. Terrorism happens all over the world. the USA ,France england, and particularly terrorism came around an bite the pioneers in the rear end as the majority of the terrorism takes place in their country of Pakistan Iran and Iraq. as the old saying goes what people bring to others comes around to them tenfold. maybe if the United Nations and the democracies would have listened to Israel's prediction that it was them yesterday but it would move out to all over the world as it has today. But it wasn't happening to them at the time so the other democracies at the United Nations looked away. Now it is happened to them. Israel still stands today as a beacon of democracy all throughout the world thank you Israel you go girl Godspeed

Good recounting, bit dry

This book tends to emphasize the political background, but does depict the events clearly. While there were some first person accounts I wish there had been more.

Enjoyed the book

Reveals how corrupt governments can manipulate situations to gain power. Israel had the right to look after their people.

Excellent history of the raid on Entebbe

Another story or history where I have seen documentaries I have seen the movie, but it was nice to have the facts. Very well written dramatic story.

Good book with room for improvements

That narrative of the hijacking and the raid is good but only half of the book. The other half is a helpful but somewhat tedious verbatim rebelling of the subsequent UN Security Council discussion. An updated and expanded "40th anniversary edition" is overdue.

Riveting.

I believe I remember tuning in to find out what was going on, from the other side of the world. Fascinating to hear about the event from those intimately involved. I felt very tense listening to the minute by minute unfolding of what was happening; excellent reading of the narrative!

90 Minutes at Entebbe

The narrator did a good job overall. He has an excellent speaking voice. There might have been a few words that were not perfectly pronounced, but not at all significant and still identifiable. There were a few details about the raid that didn't quite match what I have read elsewhere, but that is because there have been a few different narratives from those who were on the raid. Still, a compelling story of the greatest rescue of hostages in history, and a reminder of how evil the terrorists are. I especially was interested in the dialogue at the end of the book concerning the UN Security Council meeting, where the Israeli ambassador successfully defended his country's raid on Entebbe to save 100 hostages who were about to be murdered simply because they were Jews.

don't mess with Israel anymore they are just too damn cool for everybody. I'm a US citizen I'm a Catholic Christian but I love Israel because they are just so cool their secret service is the absolute best massage is amazing
