If, like me, you need solid evidence to convince you to give up sugar, Zero Sugar Diet might be the ticket to conquering an addiction that is as serious as any addiction. As someone who knows well what most foods consist of (protein, carbs, fats, fiber, etc.), my mouthful of sweet teeth has always over-ridden my brain and made it very difficult to say 'no' to sugar. I have known for many, many years that I needed to cut down on sugar consumption, and have tried many diets to do so, but always failed. Having listened to this book, I gained some very scary insight into how I have been abusing my body in so many ways; some of which I was aware of, others not so much. Zinczenko's research shows how sugar is basically poison, but how it is used by the food industry to keep the consumer coming back for more. Of the many, many books I have read and listened to on nutrition, this is the FIRST that has struck such a deep cord with me. I am confident I can succeed at getting the sweet stuff out of my diet, and make a permanent lifestyle change. Hopefully, Zinczenko has succeeded in scaring the sh, shi..., sugar out of me. This is a very well written book. It's a fairly easy read, and as someone with a healthcare background, I found it very easy to understand, but you will get the gist of the program even if you don't quite grasp the scientific explanations.

Useful information, but this book wants to be an hour long, not 5 hrs of endlessly repeating facts
