Dear listener, I am writing this book not to judge anyone other than myself. I have judged myself and found myself wanting in a great many areas. I have struggled with my weight from the beginning, losing and gaining for 42 years. I am writing this project to share what I have learned in the hope that this knowledge will help others in the same way it has helped me. I am not going to try to shame you into losing weight (shirts and skins). Peer pressure didn't work on me, and it will not work on you. External ridicule does not generally cause positive effects on people who possess an internal frame of reference. This is not some 12-step program or some list of weight loss products. It's not an infomercial filled with six-pack abs. This is a way of thinking that, when adopted with complete honesty, without excuses, and without reservations, will help you transform your body to meet your goals.
