I've read many of the pivotal books in the Paleo/primal/LCHF/Bulletproof arena, and I've always stumbled on the little nuances....or being confused, because they all sound right, and overwhelmed because it's so much to take in. Boy was I shocked when I stumbled across this book, and she addressed all of my concerns. I knew Intermittent fasting gave rise to numerous health benefits and I believed in the Paleo principals of eating, as well. I'm also a social drinker, and I would feel chastised by other authors for not giving it up completely. And we all know that the best lifestyle choice is one you can follow. I think I've finally found the answer. You can tell that Melanie is passionate about the subject, she's done the research, and she's undergone personal research as is it possible to write this informative book....and still throw in humor and's evident her acting background contributes to the amazing narration of her book. I tried to listen to primal blueprint but it was so hard, and I LOVE Mark Sisson, and I've listed to What, When, Wine 2.5 times, and I keep finding new cheese literally being addictive. I will come back and write another review in 6 months to let you know how my journey into Paleo IF as Melanie describes. It was also fabulous her research and description of supplements....this would take someone a while to do otherwise. I could go on, but listen for yourself...(no I'm not a friend....I live in Atlanta and she's 10 years younger than me!)

Great resource for intermittent fasting facts

I listened to this as a reinforcement during fasting days. With science and research overviews, it was helpful to understand the processes occurring within ones body with both eating grains (no no in paleo) and fasting. If I need inspiration on tough days, ill pop this audiobook in my ear buds :)
