Best "diet" book ever

It's not a "diet" but an exciting way of learning to love real foods and try new recipes. I've done research on different diet books and the philosophy behind the South Beach guidelines is the only one that made sense to me. He gives you the why and how information about foods and weight so you understand why you gained weight and gives you the information needed to make more health-conscious decisions. I've listened to it cover-to-cover and although the first part is rather bland, it's purely the result of the first narrator. I even enjoyed listening to the recipe section and found myself rewinding to find out what was that recipe that sounded so good!

Not meant to be an audiobook.

I wasn't sure what to expect. The first part wasn't bad when the reasons for the diet were being discussed. But the second part the just read food lists and menu plans! Awful to listen to! I feel like I wasted my money.
