excellent book

so much helpful information for a healthy diet and easy weightloss. I've been on the program for 2 months and have lost 15 pounds. I'm still learning how to eat, trying new recipes all the time. it can be a challenge to unlearn everything we were taught to be "good for us" and switch to eating carbs and grains again. give it 2 weeks and be amazed. so thankful for this book and the starch solution.

Great book. Would like another narrator.

Love the information in this book very helpful in understanding good and how it effects your body. The robotic nature of narration can put you asleep.

Best Dr. ever!

I weighed close to 500 pounds and I am down to about 260 pounds now by following the McDougall Diet for maximum weight loss. It is very easy to do and once you get the hang of it you will stick with it for the rest of your life. You'll never be able to go back to the SAD diet ever again. I was diabetic with about 20 meds a day and now I take nothing. All my lab work is perfect. Thank you Dr. McDougall, you saved my life!

Life saving!!

What I liked about this book is it’s no nonsense easy approach on how to cure disease and fix the American body. Well any human body. I’m on this for three days and already my diabetes numbers are better and I’ve been a diabetic since 1996. I just stopped using my medication and started eating beans and oatmeal, raw oatmeal with water and blueberries. Love this book it’s so good

Great audio book that discusses healthy living

I really enjoyed this book. The reader was great. There are some drawbacks in having this information in audiobook form (have both the audio and kindle book). The best part of having audio book is that you can get this information on the go. I use the audiobook (which I've listened to sections a couple of times) to remind myself of what I'm working on with my health and eating. Great resource!

Loaded with wisdom

I am so exxited to apply these principlea to my current plant based eating. I'm trying to drop the last few extra pounds that I carry around from years of eating the SAD, Standard American Diet. I am confident that the information found in this book will bring success to this next phase of my journey.

Overall good advice but some material is dated. You can probably get as much information from his website and YouTube videos.

You'll enjoy the content

I really appreciate and enjoy the philosophies in this way of plant based living, and it was a much easier listen than The Starch Solution. Although that was a useful listen, too, that got a bit "science-y" for most average people (like myself). If you found the other book too hard to swallow, listen to the sample of this one and if it sounds like something you want to keep listening to, give this book a try. This book actually follows the format of the sample and doesn't turn into a science textbook 1/4 of the way into it.
