Some Good Bits of Knowledge but Missing Key Things

Overall this book has a great message and will help to motivate you to make positive changes in your life. However, it's important to note that the author is a Doctor and not a nutritionist or dietician. He even alludes to this fact early in the book. Some of the information is outdated; more recent studies have come out with conclusions that somewhatdisagree with some of the points in the book - especially with regard to diet. For example, a Keto or low-carb diet is not discussed or mentioned as a healthy alternative even though numerous studies point to the benefits of a low-carb diet. Indeed a keto diet high in fiber and vegetables can be quite healthy. I was also surprised to learn that the author did not mention the importance of getting enough sleep as part of a healthy lifestyle. This was not mentioned even once. Most experts agree that good sleep is the foundation that makes living a healthy lifestyle possible. Lack of sleep increases hunger hormones, reduces cognitive abilities, and makes exercising more difficult. Still though, the book was worth the listen and I did learn a few important things about specific disease prevention.

Great motivation for life change. Excellent fluidity and information based off of first hand experience and articles from vetted medical journals.

Life changing book

Very inspiring book, the best part of this book is the heart of the good Dr. His heart is on every page.

Loved loved loved it life changing!

What a fabulous book easy to listen to I'm going to listen again and this time take some notes my brother in law did what doctor said and in 19 days lost 16 pounds lowered his resting heart rate from 79 to 70:) it's not necessarily a weight loss book obviously however if you need to lose weight working on getting yourself heart-healthy will do that for you as well:)

The ‘Scariest Book” I have ever read! - 5-Stars.

What did you love best about Prescription for Life?

This books gives you the FACTS, the HOW to "correct our self," and the WHY we should start today. I have lost six pounds in 2 weeks, this book gives you the motivation.

what impressed me the most was that this man really cares. I will do everything suggested except the olive oil, I will have olives instead. Wonderful book. Thank You

You will never again return from your Dr's visit still dumbfounded/bewildered as to why you bothered going in the 1st place...Using the advice in this book, you will know exactly how to correct most medical problems using diet, exercise, and ideal weight.

This book is powerful on several levels. It is an information manual on understanding...
1. The body's arterial structure and functionality.
2. How to read food labels to avoid bad fats that negatively affect the body.
3. The relationship to diet, exercise and maintaining ideal weight and how to achieve all for optimal health.
4.. It shows how to prevent stroke, heart disease, dementia, cancer, ED, and other dysfunctions...
