Inspiring in every sense of the word
Absolutely would recommend. The book is inspiring, useful, and chock-full of authenticity and helpful information to guide a woman towards unburdening herself with the underlying issues which have caused her to carry excess weight. I have both the print book and the audiobook and both are excellent. Listening to Katrina tell her story and guide one through the book is like having a personal and caring guide helping one towards one's healing. Truly a remarkable book and audiobook.
The impact it had on me to help me realize the gentle yet self-empowering concept of forgiveness and self-love in a good way (not in an egotistical way).
No characters in the book, as this is nonfiction. But, as nonfiction, her sincerity is genuine and profound; she truly wants to help other women be healthy and happy and enjoy life.
Yes! But the concepts are so complex, and the need for absorption and reflection so great, I recommend digesting it in smaller sections. I listen to a point where I feel saturated with good insights, and then I stop and reflect on what I've heard.
I hope Katrina Love Senn will come to the U.S. and hold seminars or retreats so folks who choose to can come and benefit from direct guidance on the skills she teaches in Losing Weight is a Healing Journey. I also hope she continues to write books and audiobooks!
