Hormones play such an important role is keeping us youthful and healthy. Parks lays out the reasons why in a simple way. He also goes into what we can do about keeping our homone levels at an adequate level like we had during our reproductive years.
This is an excellent book for anyone, but especially those facing menopause and past menopause. But this is not a book for only women! It is just as important for men to keep their hormone levels up, as well. Parks does well at explaining why.
While I own the ebook, I wanted the audiobook as well. Love Steven Roy Grimsley, the narrator. He is one of my favorite narrators on Audible. Clear voice, excellent pronunciation and inflection.

the information was interesting, but as far as i know the author isn't a doctor. i would need to research other sources before before i could give this any credence. i know that the recommendation of 500mg zinc/day as a precursor to thyroxine hormone is a really high dose of zinc and potentially dangerous.
The study of hormones and their effects on health is important, and can be interesting. However, this book seems to tackle hormones with a pill popping attitude which was NOT indicated before purchase. If you are looking for a natural way of improving hormonal profile then this (in my opinion) is not the book for you. It is also very hard to listen due to the way in which it is written, I can only imagine what it would have been like to read it.
