Publisher's Summary

The human body evolved to live well and fight off disease on a supply of only a dozen or so essential nutrients. Unfortunately, modern meat-laden, high-sugar diets provide catastrophically inadequate levels of those nutrients. Scientific research consistently indicates nationwide vitamin and mineral deficiencies in our country, and we spend over a trillion dollars each year on disease care. Andrew Saul has seen enough of this situation, and in Doctor Yourself, he gives you the power you need to change it. Dr. Saul explodes the myth that an army of medical specialists and pharmaceutical drugs are necessary to maintain our health. Using the protocols laid out in Doctor Yourself, you not only can prevent disease from getting a foothold in the first place, you can also cure yourself of illness already in progress, without resorting to drugs or surgery.

You Are What You Eat

"You Are What You Eat" Those words should stick into you for the rest of your life. Every time you pick up something to put into your body, take a moment to adjust yourself and repeat those words. This book is not about dieting. although you will benefit as if it was. this book is meant to open your eyes to self healing, nutritional facts, and to motivate you to learn how your inner body works. i have listened to this book several times as I commute to work, and it has inspired me to learn more about my inner body, than ever before. i believe now, that if we can understand our inner body and what it needs to function properly, we will make the right choices on our food intake.

Thanks
Mike

One of The Most Practical Books on Nutrition...

This is one of the most practical books on nutrition I've read! It not only gives you natural cures for a lot of common illnesses, it gives you inexpensive ones you can try yourself - orthomolecular nutrition using megavitamins, juicing, diet, etc. to treat depression, cancer, arthritis, receding gums, viruses, etc. And, it was entertaining and informative to listen to with common sense, references to other research (Weston A. Price, etc.), personal experience, etc.

mega vitamin therapy - inspiring!

An inspiring work - I hope Mr Saul's word spreads. The narration is a bit monotone but dont let that put you off hearing this - it could literally save a life!

Purchase this book TODAY, not tomorrow.

There is not a single person that I wouldn't recommend this book to. No exceptions.
This is a no nonsense, amusingly written, completely practical, non hairy fairy, well documented and excellently reasoned book.

I love the Ideal

What made the experience of listening to Doctor Yourself the most enjoyable?

The Idea of treating oneself, well it well maybe a minefield, but no less so than a disinterested doctor on their usual very tight time schedule, that is a minefield I have found only too often. Andrew Saul does come across rather well. If you care to believe only a part of his dialog, well you may well be streets ahead of the usual doctor approach - Well maybe we should now try so and so. It seems to me after a fairly long life with quite a few train wrecks with the usual medications, well I'm opting for a lot more vitamins and dropping most pills as prescribed.

Would you be willing to try another book from Andrew Saul Ph.D.? Why or why not?

Certainly

What does Patrick Cullen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

A lot of rest for tired eyes. His presentation I find is rather easy to take in.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Emotion is not a good thing to gauge your health with. Cold hard reason, if possible might be much better. Enjoying a joke or two does help to let the medicine go down.

Any additional comments?

Theory is one thing, but too dip the feet in the water is much, much better. So some application of the methods described here plus good Counsel that you can believe and trust is about the best thing to help us through the minefield of health services. My present reasoning is to open up a lot more on what appears to be an excellent path to go.
