Terrific material made taxing by poor narration
I think the subject matter in this book is excellent. It's a well formulated discussion about how we should be thinking about the food we eat and absorbing information from others on that subject. I really think it should be required reading for anyone exploring the subject of health and diets.
However, the narrator of the book lacks qualities of professional narrators. The tone is very encyclopedic. For instance, humor is often read with identical tone and inflection as scientific terminology without any clear consciousness conveyed about the actual material. Basically, this will sound as if a male Siri were reading with a Midwestern accent.
No offense to the performer but I hope this is redone with a veteran audio book narrator.

One of the best nutrition books out there
I've read a LOT of books on nutrition and this one is definitely top 3. The Paleolithic cure and eat for health are the other two that were really good

Great writing, terrible performance
This book is well written and researched. The performance almost kept me from learning that. Everything is read with absolutely no empathy, absolutely dull and dreadful. The contents deserves better treatment. I really had to concentrate to not fall asleep through the entire book.
