Good tips to keep in shape for golfing

Bill Nevitt has a very clear voice and did a great narration. However the pauses between tips need to be a little longer.

Easy to follow for all ages and fitness levels

Overall, this book provided easy to understand instructions that could be executed by anyone of any age and of any fitness level. Not everyone will have the willpower, desire, or discipline to follow all instructions, but anyone can physically. Example: avoiding alcohol, caffeine, sweets, and salty treats.

I have to take one star away because the first quarter of this book spent significantly more time is spent talking *about* the program rather than saying how to exercise.

These exercises are good, low impact, and practical for golf-related fitness and abilities.

The narration was engaging and exceptionally crisp. It's hard to put into words but you know it when you hear it. It's not often that a narrator is equally understandable at any speed.

it works!

it's been a long time since I was serious about my golf game. The chance came up to review this audio book, and I was excited to give it a try. Its now a little over 6 weeks since I started it. But given rain and all the rest of the changing seasons I had plenty of time to spend in the gym working on fitness. Did I need it as well. I had pulled my hamstring jogging earlier in the year and I knew then flexibility was an issue.

When I started my average drive was 220 and at the end of a round my feet and lower back would be sore. Sometimes my shoulders as well.

After the program my average drive is 245 and I can play a round pain free. I feel looser and not like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz that needed oil

The narrator is not one of those perky " Lets go" types. He is more like a physical therapist stating "okay you can do this and getting it done " The latter works for me as I can follow directions well and I don't need a cheerleader,

give it a try if you want to be longer and pain free; It works.

Becoming Golf-Fit

The information in this audiobook is excellent. These exercises can go a long way. They can be done by anyone, not just golfers. I don't play golf now however I have in the past. I used to go to the golf course several years ago with a friend and just hit balls and practice swinging.

Many of these exercises I can't do because of a back injury however I used to be very fit. I'm always looking for light things I can actually do. I think it's very important to do what this author says and consult your physician before beginning any exercises. This book has some excellent advise and suggestions for stretching and preventing injury with basic strength training.

Bill Nevitt's performance was great. He spoke very clearly and showed interest in the subject. He made this an overall effective listen.

Great exercises for everyone, even a non-golfer

After listening to this title I went back and started doing these simple exercises. Being slightly overweight and struggling with shoulder issues I found the exercises to be just what I needed. I'm starting my third week of following this routine and I can definitely feel the difference. I can raise my arms and shoulders higher and I can even rotate my upper body farther than I have in a long time.

I think I may have enjoyed this more because of the narration from Bill Nevitt. His narration is very clear and distinct and he does a wonderful job keeping the listeners attention.

Must read! Great info/tips for even non-golfers.

This book that is a great starting point for anyone who is wanting to start golfing or get ready for a new season. Filled with lots of ideas about exercising so that you can easily make it through a round of golf. There are also a great deal of practical ways for increasing your flexibility and strength so that you can make your golf swing so much better.
What I really liked about this book was that he explained what increasing strength and flexibility will do for you when you go to hit the golf ball. I also really liked the narration and how the narrator read the book. A topic like this could get very boring but this narrator kept it up beat and made you want to pay attention,, to get all the facts.
Definitely, a must-read.
