Publisher's summary

Weber Yates's dreams of stardom are about to be reduced to a ranch hand’s job in Texas, and his one relationship is with a guy so far out of his league he might as well be on the moon. Or at least in San Francisco, where Weber stops to see him one last time before settling down to the humble, lonely life he figures a frog like him has coming.

Cyrus Benning is a successful neurosurgeon, so details are never lost on him. He spotted the prince in a broken-down bull rider's clothing from day one. But watching Weber walk out on him keeps getting harder, and he’s not sure how much more his heart can take. Now Cyrus has one last chance to prove to Weber that it's not Weber's job that makes him Cyrus's perfect man, it's Weber himself. With the help of his sister's newly broken family, he’s ready to show Weber that the home the man’s been searching for has always been right there, with him. Cyrus might have laid down an ultimatum once, but now it's turned into a vow - he's never going to let Weber out of his life again.

loved this sweet and sexy story

Where does Frog rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

it was very good. good enough that I immediately went searching for more audiobooks by Mary Calmes. I'm looking forward to hearing more of her sexy stories. I laughed and cried and loved these characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Frog?

after the performance when Cyrus was feeling insecure...that was my favorite part. I loved how Weber reprioritized him to meet his needs. So sweet.

What about K.C. Kelly’s performance did you like?

He did a good job. He was a little old for the role. I'd guess he's in his 60s and the characters are in their 40s...so that could have been cast better. But he did a good job. ;-)

If you could take any character from Frog out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Weber. Lots of interesting stories to tell...

Unique Story

Unique characters and storyline, made even better by incredibly talented narrator. I have read the kindle version, and listened to the audible version a dozen times. I have even bought the Italian narration to help accustom my ear to hearing it spoken.

I hope this author continues to choose narrators so well suited for any upcoming audible books.

Wonderful sweet story!

I read this years ago and just loved it.

It’s a heart-touchingly sweet story about two men who are totally meant for each other even though they seem to be worlds apart.

This audiobook version does the book justice.

Just a little sad, and really sweet

Would you consider the audio edition of Frog to be better than the print version?
I switched back and forth, but K.C. Kelly's really great accent definitely brought something extra to the table. He really brought Weber to life in my head.

Which character – as performed by K.C. Kelly – was your favorite?
Weber. For sure. Not that I'm an expert on southern accents, but I could really picture him and he felt that much more real by the slow and relaxed way Kelly voices him.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I didn't cry, but I definitely felt little tugs at my heartstrings for the two MC's, especially Weber and the way he is so insecure of his self worth.

Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed this book. Calmes is sort of a hit and miss for me, so I was pleasantly surprised. I really loved Weber, even though I wanted to shake him at various points, and I loved the interactions between him and the children. Sometimes I get annoyed when characters are way too good with children, but the way it was written here seemed believable and sweet. If you like romance with a hint of sorrow, you will like this book. Also, this book has become sort of a cozy favorite that I cant stop listening to, so I must enjoy it 😅😂

I loved this book!

It's the third time I've read this book, first listening to it on audio and I loved it! The voice dramatization was awesome and added so much depth to the story. I loved the Texas accent. I fell in love with Webber all over again. I highly recommend it, even if you've read the book.

Good

I enjoyed the story and wish it was a little longer. It was a typical Mary Calmes' book where everyone loves one of the characters and he can do no wrong, but I kind of love that.

The narration was pretty good, I felt like the voice used for Cy was too whiney.
