Publisher's Summary

Zoey is about Claire Harper, a troubled, confused and angry woman. Her loving and patient husband tries to make her realize that she is the source of her own unhappiness, but Claire refuses to accept that responsibility. Zoey, the couple's four-year-old daughter, was born with Down syndrome and ever since then Claire has not truly been able to relate to Zoey and her disability. Instead, she chooses to block the truth from her life, won't seek help, and is unable to give Zoey the love she deserves. But when the moment comes that forces Claire to deal with a life-threatening event, she finally realizes the importance of loving her child and her husband and receiving their love in return.

Inspirational and heartwarming!

Zoey is such an inspirational and heartwarming short story. The story is about learning to love and seeing past disability. I enjoyed every moment of this story and listened in 1 sitting.

I will be reading more of this authors work and the narrator was amazing. I cannot recommend this book enough!

My Review is One of What Was in This Story for me

I don't want to be an authors dream squasher. Not what I am about. The tale is short, interesting title and has a great message. I had to look up 'novella', yeah I am ignorant. The definition did not seem to match this story's content. The title seems off also, maybe "Claire Can't " is more appropriate. It reads like real life, except the narration seems punctuation deficient. Take this review with a grain of salt, preferably sugar. This is probably why I have never published, mistakes will occur.
