Publisher's summary

With Declan O'Carroll on Fairie and Chris Gordon on Earth, what could go wrong? Try everything. Scheming elves, deadly zombies, killer goblins, flaming dragons, and dirty diapers. With a growing, insidious threat to Earth, Chris and Tanya race to save lives while Declan, Stacia, and friends work just as hard to save their own lives on an alien world, far removed from the comforts and safety of home. Only together will they overcome the odds. But, come on, with this team, maybe the odds should look out.

PLEASE GO BACK TO ROOT CHARACTERS

Chris and tanya, are the reason I even started reading this series and while it was nice that new characters were introduced they should follow their own series. I understand the occasional overlap given what they do, but there is enough with Chris and tanya and the budding family to continue along with that seres and let Declan and his have their own. since Declan has come into picture, Chris and tanya have been pretty stagnant in their growth, while Declan grows more powerful the first few of this series were damned entertaining, I found I'd listen to whole book without skipping through any sections, there was enough banter and action to keep me engrossed. in winter fall I actually skipped all the Declan chapters and was still able to follow along. I'm not saying that isn't a good storyline, it is!...just saying it should be it's own series so when I purchase these to read about Chris and tanya's adventures..thats kinda what I want ...anyway narrator was excellent as usual, at least that was constant.

One of my favorites from the Demon Accords series.

Both threads of the story were interesting but I especially liked the Alien Invasion storyline.

Jumped the shark

There comes a time in every series win all reasonable storylines are exhausted and the author were resorts to extremely unlikely scenario‘s. Jumping the shark is a reference to the TV show happy days. Happy days was a long running television story but there came a time just before the end which preceded the necessary demise of happy days. In short the gang went to Los Angeles under some pretense and Fonzie contrived to jump a pool full of sharks on his motorcycle. A storyline that was so stupid happy days just couldn’t continue. And so now with winter fall the shark has been jumped. The writing is still great the action is still great but the premise is downright ridiculous as it is much of the dialogue

Dissatisfied

Declan just keeps getting more and more powerful. His girlfriend constantly said to be the most beautiful. And the main character can’t replenish his powers and he is becoming more and more a side character. Disappointed the author changed the protagonist in the story.

Not that great. Worse due to the narrator.

No offense to the narrator, but may you consider practicing. Gah, it's so bad. It's already weird to see the series spinning around, unsure where it wants to go from Skynet to aliens now. -_- Aliens... It wouldn't have been so drain had the narrator was more than an emotionless bore especially with the vast female cast. If you can't do the job man, tell the author. Turn over your reigns instead of being a dishonorable man, ripping him off. You're good with the male narration as you should be but you should REALLY consider partnering up with a female narrator to read those lines or go to voice acting school.
The narrating seems to get worse for each story.

Almost Perfect

In addition to Chris' and Mac's points of view, would like also to have had Declan's to experience his side of this initial trip to Fairie.

15 stars!!!

One of my favorite series of all time...this is a great continuation. Expanding and ever evolving characters it is a divine mixture of paranormal, fantasy and action adventure with a dash of history thrown in. All in all a perfect tale, yet I still want more. Conroe and Cronin- job well done.

If I could give it 6 stars I would

John Conroe is of the fastest, best, and intriguing writers in this Genre since Jim Butcher, Kevin Hearne, Benedict Jacka. He is super fast a at putting out books too. That keeps me very happy because some of the others seem to be running out of steam or have writers Block or something. My favorite being the Dresden Files, which is as we all know extremely late, I sure hope it comes out soon.
My perverbial Hat is off to Mr. John Conroe and his amazing take on this genre and the world's of the arcane and your daughter for getting you interested in it.

Sincerely,

G.H.

One of my favorite series

This series is so good that I did the unthinkable and went through it again and am thinking of one more listen. Great action, adventure, and characters, but do not start with this book, start with book one and you will get here in no time.
