Publisher's summary

Brody O'Shea isn't looking for much, just a hot guy with a decent job, who is sane and doesn't have kids. The son of a former rock star, Brody has lived through the pain of bankruptcy and bad parenting, and he doesn't want to experience it again. As a reformed horndog, he wants the security and stability of a relationship. But almost every guy he meets seems satisfied with Mr. Right Now, and he wants to find Mr. Right - now!

The only men Eric Vasquez chases are criminals. As a deputy and single father, he has no need for a relationship after his last one ended disastrously. He lives for and through Maddie, his nine-year-old daughter. Everything else is a needless distraction, but distraction is what Eric gets when he comes to Provincetown to attend the wedding between his cousin Van and the man of his dreams.

When Brody and Eric meet, what they want and what they find conflict. An ocean of expectations separates them. If they cannot move past their reservations to reach each other's shores, they might miss the boat when love comes to town.

Fantastic book

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Jacob Z. Flores manages to wrap the reader in the story. The story is romantic without been cheesy or predictable. I really enjoyed the narration.

What was one of the most memorable moments of When Love Comes to Town?

When Broody and Zack makes love for the first time

Which scene was your favorite?

The end after the wedding

Any additional comments?

It's the second book that I listen from the The Provincetown series, and both were great.

Lots of fun with a happy bonus epilogue

Brody is kind of a man slut. He’s looking for a relationship – maybe – but definitely not one with attached kids. So imagine his dismay when he begins to fall for the very stuffy and uptight Eric who comes with two kids in tow.

Just like the other books in this series – there are lots of glimpses of what life is like in Gay Nirvana – aka Provincetown.

Brody and Eric have a lot of hot sex but also some surprisingly sweet “feels” moments as well.

If you’ve been following along in the series, I think this one stands out as being one of the “sweetest” in the bunch. All of them have some pretty sticky HEAs (heh heh) but mix in some kids and the sweet is off the charts.

PS There’s a lovely epilogue that gives us a glimpse of everyone’s HEA from the previous books.

Audio

The narrator – TJ Jamieson – aka Tristan James – is a wonderful narrator. He is always easy to listen to , does the gay swishy voices fantastically, does female voices well and is always hot in smexy times.

I really enjoyed this series and this book in particular.

My fav in the series!

Any additional comments?

This is by far my favorite in the series. I enjoyed how Brody and Eric took the time to get to know each other even though the reasoning was based on misguided reasons. And Eric's little girl is hilarious!

And I'm guessing the author really loves the 80s because some character in his stories is always all 80s out.lol

The only thing I wasn't too keen on in this story was:the insta love, I lost so much respect for this story because insta love in romances feel false. It felt more like insta lust, rather than love to me. After that, the feeling of euphoria I felt for this story dissipated.

So, still my fav in the series.
