"A fantastic novelist...so far above the prevailing standards of crime fiction that it is pointless to make the comparison." (Daily Express)

Wayfaring Stranger

What a great story - written with gritty style . It would make a terrific film . The narrator's voice is perfect for the plot. I will def. listen to more of these books especially if read by Will Paton.

Quality

Like nearly every other book written by Mr. Burke and narrated by Mr. Patten, this excellent novel kept me interested the whole time. James Lee is a league apart. Upon finishing, I felt joy, and a little sadness, not unlike the feeling of losing a close friend. I will listen to this again in the future, maybe next time I won't still feel like I want to cry after the epilogue.
