Horrible Narration, Great Story

This is one of my favorite series. The first several books have a different narrator that was fantastic. She passed away and the person who replaced her is so bad. Almost unlistenable.
I would recommend reading the this book instead of listening.

The narration spoiled it for me

I love this series, but the narrator sounds like a third grade teacher. So slow! Even at 1.25 speed, it was painful. Often, her cadence was punctuated by clunky phrasing, breaking in the middle of a phrase or between a subject and its verb. I got a third of the way through, but I'll get the Kindle version to finish it.
