The #1 New York Times and USA Today best-selling phenomenon

Some things are worth waiting for….

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at that fateful Halloween party five years ago - an event that forever changed her life. What she never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she's building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing....

Cameron Hamilton is six feet, three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make Avery want things she believed had been irrevocably stolen from her. Getting involved with him is dangerous. Yet ignoring the simmering tension that sparks between them - and brings out a side of her she never knew existed - is impossible.

Some things shouldn't be kept quiet....

But when Avery starts receiving threatening e-mails and phone calls, she's forced to face a past she wants to keep buried and acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. If the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface with one less scar? And will Cam be there to help her?

And some things are worth fighting for....

He had me at sweetheart........

Wait For You is beautiful and emotional story. Not most original but I totally understand why everyone is raving about it! I was intrigued from the first page and didn’t want to put it down. A completed new adult romance with a happy ending that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy. I adored it! I really like books that gradually take time to reveal what had happened to the characters and shaped them into who they've become. Avery is starting college, far away from her home, ever critical parents and her past. She wants just one single thing - to start over and have a normal life with noone knowing what had happened to her five years ago when she was only fourteen and what made her closed off & uncomfortable around others. But what she is not expecting is Cameron - popular, extremely good looking and real charmer who is determined to get to know her better. Avery's tormented past hindered her ability to trust. So getting her on a date was not easy for Cam. But his persistence, flirty banter had me in his corner. Wait For You maybe isn't the most unique story ever written but I enjoyed every single word of it. I had a goofy smile on my face most of the time and I was completely swooning over Cam. The build up to Avery and Cam's relationship was a breath of fresh air! Although they had an instant spark, I appreciated the slow pace taken when they were getting to know each other. The breathtaking love scenes were tasteful and very sensual. This author creates vivid scenes...every situation came alive and felt very realistic. Yes, I would recommend the book to other fellow audible listeners!

Cute story, but lacked originality

This book has all the right ingredients to make a great New Adult romance story. Hot guy, shy girl with secret past/trust issues, college setting, interesting and loveable friends, witty banter, etc. There is technically nothing wrong with this well written book. Unfortunately, there is nothing special or original with it either. The book isn’t bad, but I’ve read the same story so many times before that it’s become boring and repetitive.

The only thing that kept me going with this particular book was Cam. He is definitely swoon-worthy and I enjoyed his interactions with Avery. The chemistry between these two characters was definitely believable and I enjoyed how their relationship grew slowly over time.

If you’re looking for a sugary sweet love story and aren’t currently burned-out on the typical New Adult formula then go for it. Otherwise, I would just skip it all together.

One of my ALL time FAVORITE reads!!

This is one of my all-time favorite go to books ever, I can’t tell you how many times I have read it.

I don’t really know why it calls to me so much. It could be that Avery isn't your normal college student and that her life though it’s been rough doesn't define who she is.

She still has a plan for her future and if that means traveling thousands of miles to be away from her family then well she does it.
And even though she is a little closed off, she still manages to find some fantastic friends.

Cam is just yummy, I can’t describe him any other way. Sorry but yummy is what I think of when I think of Cameron Hamilton. :-D
Also his charismatic ways it just does something to my insides.

I loved how Cam becomes Avery’s friend but the whole time he is looking for a way to get in and become something more to her.
It is almost like when he saw her it just clicked for him. Sigh it’s just one of those love stories you can’t and don’t want to put down and you want more, more, more.

I am a huge fan of Sophie Eastlake, so her being the narrator for this book is icing on the cake for me.

I swear this is the 10th OK more like 20th time I have read this book whether it’s with my eyes or my ears it’s a favorite.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Loved it!

Any additional comments?

This was such a good listen! We've all got something in our past that we regret, some aren't that serious but for everyone...there's always a "what if I had done this instead" playing in the back of our heads and you can't deny that. Now I've listened to many angsty type romances and sooooo many of them have me irritated by the main female character and how stupid she seems by not saying anything until its too late. With this, although there are moments of a little frutration, the author made sure to acknowledge the idiocy, which in some strange reason helped smooth over the moments. In the past I've had the books where I was so irritated in the repitition of her angst that I put the book down for a bit and just walked away...I mean ok, something bad happened, I totally understand - or I would just skip over half a chapter to get past the annoyance. BUT - with this story, it kept moving along...it didn't have me banging my head on how the dark past was holding her back over and over and over like some authors. I felt the frustation with here and not at her....that was a nice change. She has a past, he has a past, but they both are trying to get through it to find a happy place again. Kuddos! Now onto the next in this series yay!

Adorable love story.

This is a great love story about two college students. Both of them had bad high school experiences that made them who they are. Loved it!

Enjoyable

I didn't know if I would like this book as the story is about a very young couple and I tend to find books written about young people not to my liking. I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this book from start to finish and didn't forward through parts. This book kept me engaged in the story and the characters were down to earth and real.

nice, hartwarming story

Where does Wait for You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I really liked the story as a book and I liked ot hear it too.
Though I doesn't like the way the speaker is lowering her voice when she speaks the part of the male figur - she sounds like a mafia boss.

What did you like best about this story?

This is a story without this typical hero a la 50 shades of grey and the million books copying it. Finally a male hero who can live well without spanking someone.
Plus: he is just a human beeing and not super-natural. What relief.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

If you find Mr. Right, hold on tight.
And trust in him to help you through your darkest hours.

Deeper than what was on the surface

Listening through half the book I felt a little disappointed that it was so light and airy. I didn't connect with the deep emotion I usually require from books I read. But half way through everything changed. Definitely worth a listen.

And Sophie Eastlake is one of my favorite narrators. The way she is able to make you believe there is actually a male reading the male role is incredible. Her voice is perfect for college age characters. I really enjoy her.
