Publisher's Summary

Every year for two decades, David Payne invites his five closest college friends to travel with him on a weeklong humanitarian mission. And each year, they are too busy. This year, however, when David's funeral reunites them, they decide to fulfill his mission to a far-flung Pacific island. But something unplanned and mind-boggling occurs. Christy Award-winning author Angela Hunt delivers an unforgettable, critically acclaimed tale that explores how materialism, beauty, and prestige often mask reality.

What the Critics Say

"Hunt excels at reminding Christian readers that God judges petty sins the same as heinous ones, and that being a 'good person' outwardly often hides an interior life that is far from pure." (Publishers Weekly)
"An accelerating sense of menace." (Booklist)

A Movie

Wow! Fabulous story that makes you think - a lot. Well written and told. This should be a movie.

This book was hard to follow with all the different characters, at first, but stay with it. I have a bad memory especially with names. Once I got them down it was smooth sailing! I enjoyed this very much. If you want a story that will open your eyes get this one!
