Really really good

Such a good story. I don't usually pick stories narrated by men but this was a gem. Its the count-down to turning 40 with all the hic-ups inbetween. Highly recommended

I'm 40

The main character is a mess and not that likeable. He continues to make poor choices all the way through. I preferred All The Lonely People and Half A World Away by the same author. Glad I listened to this after I turned 40 rather than before.

hot mess

ugh had such hopes for this one but in brief, it was a hot mess. should have been called hot mess to 40. felt like I did a mile to go two steps. I gave up, fast forwarded to the last bit only to find my guess to be spot on. the book arrived exactly nowhere and not sure why it took so long to do so. better editing would have saved this.
