It's Grandma's house - quiet, cozy, nestled on a mountain in West Virginia. What could possibly go wrong? A lot, actually. Horrific accidents, despicable creatures, a vile beast, and detestable grandparents leap into your mind. One misstep will get you and your little sister killed.

Try not to die

This was a fun book to listen to.Kailaan Carter does a swell job with her character voices in this tale. Two kids are packed off to their Grandparents house after the death of their parents. They don't want to go and once there they keep trying to get away.Unfortunately the only way off the farm seem to be to die in horrible ways.I believe this is a 'choose your ending' type book in paper. On audio it is a bit weird but still fun to hear all the ways they use to leave Grandmas house.
This audiobook was provided to me at no cost for a fair and honest review

Wonderful choose your own story

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to it all in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

While I have read the book I was curious on how this would work as an audio book. Like in the book, at the end of each section you can pick one of two chapters in the audio section to choose which path you want to go down. I have to admit it's a bit tricky on a audio book to do it as you get swept into the story and forget to choose sometimes but once you get the hang of it it does work.

The story is one that is creepy enough for kids but also keeps adults interested as well. I have to say I loved the narrator of this book! He did a fantastic job of it and really put a lot of variation of the characters and emotion into it as well. It would be a great book to have playing around a campfire at night…. in the woods.
