Publisher's summary

They were the best of friends and the most daunting of bachelors. Charlie Harrington, a handsome philanthropist, has such high expectations for his perfect bride that no mortal need apply. Adam Weiss, a 40-something celebrity lawyer, prefers his women very young, very voluptuous, and very short-term. And for Gray Hawk, a gifted artist with a knack for attracting troubled relationships, women are fine; it's just the idea of family he can't imagine (particularly the family of the woman he's dating).

Now the three friends, spending their annual summer vacation cruising the Mediterranean aboard Charlie's majestic yacht, are about to have their bachelorhood rocked. By autumn all three will fall precipitously into relationships they never saw coming. Charlie begins dating a crusading social worker who couldn't be further from his ideal, until he makes a stunning discovery about her. Adam gets involved with his usual 20-something bombshell, only this one has a remarkable mind of her own. And Gray, who has avoided both business and family like the plague, has managed to fall head over heels for a successful career woman, who just happens to be a mother as well.

As another holiday on the yacht approaches, and with it a turning point in each man's life, the three bachelors are forced to face the things that scare them most: their phobias about relationships, the wounds of the past, and the kind of women who challenge their deepest terrors. What happens next will spark big changes for Charlie, Adam, and Gray, and might just put an end to their carousing days forever. For as the once-carefree trio is about to discover, love is the most unpredictable adventure of all.

I always look forward to the release of her next novel & again I was not disappointed - she kept me intriqued - I could not stop listening when I would reach my destination. As always she has done again

Old Danielle Steel style

I stopped reading her a long while ago as everything became too mushy.

This one though was a winner. The stories of three men spin well and kept me listening.

Loyalty, Brotherhood, Acceptance, Pain

What did you love best about Toxic Bachelors?

The three men were from different backgrounds, but had unique pain that bonded them together.
Loyalty and acceptance of their different personalities

What other book might you compare Toxic Bachelors to and why?

It was a unique story because you learn Men have feelings, and are more vulnerable that society leads us to believe.

These men gave us women an insight into how some men deal with the cards they are dealt with in life, regardless of your position in life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I love Danielle Steele's writing style. She moves through the story and allows you to fill in some parts with your own imagination. I am never board with any of her books.

The focus on male friendships. The story-line was unique and interesting.

Pleasantly Surprised

I havent read a Steel book in years. They are usually a bit to basic and shlocky for me. However, I was tired of all the intense books I was listening to, so i thought this book sounded like a nice break and maybe even fun. Boy was I right! It was a great book. A story about 3 commitment phobic men and how they work to overcome there deep rooted issues to rise above their problems. Definately predictable, but an enjoyable journey, right to the end.
The narrator was very good too. He added dimension to the characters.
The book was filled with humor, drama and enough twists and turns to make it a very entertaining listen.
