Publisher's summary

My name is Amelia Gray. I'm the Graveyard Queen. Restoring lost and abandoned cemeteries is my profession, but I'm starting to believe that my true calling is deciphering the riddles of the dead.

Legend has it that Kroll Cemetery is a puzzle no one has ever been able to solve. For over half a century, the answer has remained hidden within the strange headstone inscriptions and intricate engravings. Because uncovering the mystery of that tiny, remote graveyard may come at a terrible price.

Years after their mass death, Ezra Kroll's disciples lie unquiet, their tormented souls trapped within the walls of Kroll Cemetery, waiting to be released by someone strong and clever enough to solve the puzzle. For whatever reason, I'm being summoned to that graveyard by both the living and the dead. Every lead I follow, every clue I unravel, brings me closer to an unlikely killer and to a destiny that will threaten my sanity and a future with my love, John Devlin.

Broken Rules

Amanda Stevens has tremendous talent for writing spooky ghost stories. She creates such a haunting atmosphere that you feel like you're in Amelia's shoes. And let me just tell you this, it is a freaking scary place to be. I think this book has been the scariest yet! No joke. Why didn't I give this 5 stars? I have 3 reasons and it has nothing to do with the spook level.

First~ John and Amelia have gone through a lot and after the last book I was hoping things would finally start coming together more. Unfortunately, when it comes to these two it's always one step forward and 2 steps back. It's exhausting and it doesn't look like the next book will be any better. Other than the potent sexual chemistry, I'm just not feeling the love.

Second~ The whole thing with Rupert Shaw just kind of bugged me. It was weird. They were like best pals in this book and I was left scratching my head. Remember the last book?

Third~ When will Amelia learn how powerful she is and how to use said power? She has been told by many people that she possesses a lot of power. Okay, great. It's the 4th book though and she is still mostly clueless about her abilities. I want to see more progress with this.

I'm still a huge fan though. I will pre-order the next book because I know it will be scary, hypnotic, and oh so good!

I love this series.

This series just keeps getting better. Amelia Gray unravels the truth of her past and her gift one step at a time, the relationship with sexy cop and steadfast disbeliever John Devlin constantly in flux. Once I picked this up, putting it down wasn't going to happen. I had to know who the woman in the window was and what happened to the people in the colony. One mystery is answered and two more questions pop up - and the ending! Oh, Amanda. How could you?

The narration is amazing.

Many levels of mysteries!

The Visitor
Graveyard Queen, Book 4
By: Amanda Stevens
Narrated by: Khristine Hvam
This book has plenty of intrigue, suspense, and secrets from the pasts. There are many levels of mysteries, creepiness, and trust Amelia should have with the characters in this book.
Great narration! Enjoyed this book.

Amazing Story and Narrator!

This series just gets better with each addition. I love the whole southern feel spookiness of the story. And Khristine Hvam is the most incredible narrator I've heard to date. Don't miss this book or the series!
