Southern Story
This is the story of five generations of male descendants of a Creole pioneer settler in Louisiana. It isn't a fast paced book, but interesting nevertheless, especially if you are a Southerner and can relate to the lives of the characters. The narrator did a decent job, but the experience would be greatly enhanced by someone with a real Southern accent who can pronounce "Natchez" correctly! Overall, it's worth a credit if you like a good family yarn with several plot twists, but not a lot of action. Also, it's refreshing in this day and time, to read a book that portrays the South and its people in an honest and positive light.
