What did you love best about The Saint?

I read the comments of other readers. I have to disagree! I LOVED this one! Romance is alive and well. Action! Passion! History! A must read!!!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Saint?

When Helen went to Magnus' bedroom and climbed into his bed naked! She wanted Magnus to make love to her.

What made me want to cry was the love both Magnus and Helen had for each other. How hard it was to except love. When Magnus was waiting for Joanna.

Like a Shakespearan tragedy almost

I love Monica McCarthy. The mix of true historical facts with some minor name changes and twists, makes reading the books interesting and enjoyable. I love Scottish History especially the First War of Independence for Scotland. Robert the Bruce is a fascinating person in history and his story is one for the ages. Her introduction to a Highland Guard that acts like one of the first special forces is so entertaining. It is so believable that it makes me want to go back in time to see for myself. War Names Saint and Angel. this is one of the sadest stories, no spoilers, but a lot happens in this book. Bruce survives assassins and sickness and continues to unite the country to wage war against England. saint and angel were in love since children, but the 2 families are feuding, so the love can never be. now the country war torn, their paths cross again and this time love will prevail.

FAVORITE COUPLE AND BOOK IN SERIES!

I absolutely loved the love story between Magnus and Helen!

This one *really* brought Robert the Bruce to life. Out of all of the Highland Guard, “the Bruce” develops a fondness for Helen, who saved him more times than the guard in this one, has him refereeing and darn near matchmaking the two as Magnus fights his strong LOVE and sexual attraction to his childhood friend and bestfriend’s widow after he is personally assigned to protect the king which brings him in daily proximity to the one person that is driving him mad with desire.

This story is filled with just the right amount of sexual angst, action, humor, suspense and mystery too. I guarantee you will circle blocks and sit in parking lots finishing chapters!

created a “Saint and Angel” fan in me!

Antony Ferguson is an awesome narrator! Frankly, Robert McNab ruined the other stories for me. He voice sounds much older and stuffier than the *hot* rough, warrior characters of the Scottish highland guards in my opinion.

Happy with this book!

Love these books!! She does a great job! Can't wait to start the next book. The narrator is good too.. I normally only like female narrators but he does an amazing job. Really pulls you in.

Just Okay.Not the best in the series.

For one thing I liked Robert McNab much better as the voice of the Highland Guard. The character Helen irritated me.She was too tedious for me. I am fascinated by Scottish history and novels that are historically accurate.

I was waiting for Magnus' story… So good.

You learn about Magnus in the previous book and his character made you wonder what happened to him, so this was the mystery. His love story is sweet for such a powerful man, I couldn't stop listening and wanted to finish it in one day but I couldn't. You will enjoy this installment as well. The stories just keep getting better and better.

what a hero!

one of my favorites of the Highland Guard series, This story stands out among the hottest! While at times our heroines tenacity in trying to recapture the relationship she had let go of previously tends towards self-humilation ... there are some moments of which are so amusing it makes frustration with her much easier to bear. The description of their trip through the Highlands also makes for a very enjoyable story overall!! The Saint and the Angel truly are memorable!!!

Loved it! And I love Antony Ferguson as a narrator. I just wish he narrated all of the highland guard series because I was unable to listen to those he did not narrate:(
