Publisher's Summary

The unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of The Rosie Effect, by Graeme Simsion. With the Wife Project complete, Don settles happily into a new job and married life in New York. But it's not long before certain events are taken out of his control and it's time to embark on a new project . . .As Don tries to get to grips with the requirements of starting a family, his unusual research style soon gets him into trouble. To make matters more difficult, Don has invited his closest friend to stay with them, but Gene is not exactly a prime example of marital happiness, and as his life with Rosie continues to be unpredictable Don needs to remember that emotional support is just as important as his practical expertise.

Just Amazing

What did you like most about The Rosie Effect?

After reading all of the reviews I knew it would be good but I did not realise how good it would be. The character interaction between Rosie and Don was so believable and made me laugh out loud and cry.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Rosie Effect?

I loved the idea of Don being treated like a rock star being fast tracked through the airport and who could forget the ice cream incident.

Which character – as performed by Dan O'Grady – was your favourite?

It has to be Don. Just an amazing character, even though he is annoying as hell you just want him to succeed.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely.

Fun, different and intelligent!

What made the experience of listening to The Rosie Effect the most enjoyable?

I had already listened to The Rosie Project, to which this book is a sequel. The two books are lovely reading/listening. I recommend reading them in order. As a Psychologist myself, I love how intelligently written all of the characters are and especially Don, with his Aspergers symptoms. It is successful in being both funny and poignant. It is a light, easy read, but certainly not superficial, forgettable fiction.

Which character – as performed by Dan O'Grady – was your favourite?

Don Tilman.
