Unlistenable Narrator

I love aviation novels ever since I read AIRPORT. Robert Serling was also a favorite. I know the narrator, Mr. Block, was /is a pilot, but he's no more qualified to carry a full book than an actor is to fly a 747, with little or no training. His sense of pace, diction and drama is non existent.

I had held off on this book because of who the narrator was, but the premise sounded interesting. I should have stuck with my gut instinct.
I could not get through more than 45 minutes of what promised to be a pretty good book, because of the narrator.

To any authors who are writing novels around aviation, hire a professional reader/actor. Due respect to Mr. Block, you cannot tell a story very well, sir.

Love this story line and characters

This is another great book by Harrison James. Tom Block's reading/performance of this book added to the excitement of the story.
