Publisher's summary

Brad Feldman is desperate to come up with a novel idea for his failing television series, America's Most Haunted Locations. When his friend reminds him about Doctor Louise Hilton and her groundbreaking research in parapsychology at Duke University during the 70s, Brad thinks she may be just the person to breathe new life into his struggling project.

After reviewing her files on paranormal activity, Doctor Hilton invites a select group of people to join her and Brad at an old Victorian mansion in Michigan's remote Upper Peninsula, where they will film the pilot for a new series. At first, Brad is delighted when unexpected happenings start to occur, but his joy soon turns to fear as things quickly spiral out of hand. As a nor'easter heads their way, Doctor Hilton is worried that some of the participants may be concealing dark secrets...some of them deadly. It is soon apparent that not all horrors come from beyond the grave.

Narrator unbearable

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The story was marginally interesting but the book was virtually impossible to get through due to the narrator. I started it several times and finally committed to making it through to the end. It was a tough slog.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator mispronunced words and had absolutely no theatrical style.

Was The Pilot worth the listening time?

Barely.

What happens in the UP during a blizzard!!!

The Pilot

By: James R. Nelson

The author has created a paranormal group meeting for a TV show, at the haunted house of an old man needing money.

The cast of characters all have varied past experiences with "hauntings." They are being guided by a woman Doctor that teaches paranormal at Western Michigan University.

Once they arrive the fun begins. The story will keep the listener on the edge of their seat.

The narration was well done by, Leslie Starr O'Hara. The characters were entertaining with the voicing.

I will look for more from this author.
