Publisher's summary

Sage moved to Atlanta for the same reason many do, a fresh start, running away from a past she so desperately wanted to forget. As a single mother and inspiring artist she always managed to get by. It wasn't until she "accidentally" fell in love with a charming and romantic "ATLien" by the name of Ace did she feel that her luck was changing. Things take a fast forward in their relationship and seemed to never come to an end, until one night Ace's past meets them in a dark alley in the mean Atlanta streets. Sage knows there is no going back from here as she finds that you never really know a person until it's too late. As her mind and heart battle it out, she's determined to keep her fairytale love story from turning into a nightmare. But what happens when Ace leaves her and she is forced to face the truth alone? She doesn't have it all put together yet, but even after he is gone his past comes back to haunt her, demanding that she pay off his debts. Ace's mother Lillian seems to be keeping his secrets airtight as well, but reassures Sage she has nothing to fret about. Entangled in a web of love, lies, and deceit, Sage can only put her trust into her best friend Shelly. Will love conquer all for Sage or will she drown in the lies of her King?

it was alright

beautiful love story. but the narrator was very boring. didnt bring the characters to life. I struggled to listen to the end. and of course it appears to have a sequel.

Entertaining but Narration fell flat

The book itself is very entertaining which is why I continued to listen however the narrator was way too flat and unemotional. Her reading style was just basic reading and not giving any actual personality to the characters. She also lacked inflections or used the wrong inflections. I will recommend this book but only if u can get over the narrators voice.

The Lyin' King, Book 1

All I can say is wow! I really enjoyed this book, but I do wish that Sage would have found out a lot more about Arson in the end. I would recommended this book to others. The end

It was an okay read I guess

This book wasn't bad but it could've been better. The title doesn't really fit what the book is really about. The book is already very short yet the author choose to end it with a cliffhanger. This book seems rushed. The authors needs to get this book and try again. Don't change to much just elaborate on most of it. The narrator was good though.
