Publisher's Summary

When Will moves his family to Meadow, Texas, it seems like the perfect idea. It's supposed to be a newer - and bigger - home, in which they could continue to build more happy memories. Except, as the house's past begins to haunt them, they realize it's not the dream they first hoped it to be. From the imagination of L.A. Maldonado, comes a spellbinding story of a house, with demonic visions of the dead and relentless screams of terror. This novel is a haunted house story that will keep you at the edge of your seat. After all, there's no place like home.

Hoping for more scary, less gross

Although it was some of the most imaginative descriptions of disgusting things I read, it was still just gross. I was hoping more for scary, creepy or even disturbing. Also, the narration wasn’t bad, but everything is written so literal and things repeat unnecessarily. Like, she opened the door to find the *blank* behind the door. The “behind the door” isn’t necessary, and this type of thing is rampant throughout the book. Also, the way the characters speak isn’t realistic, at least in my World. I don’t go around calling my husband my beloved. And it happens a lot here. Beloved husbands, wives and children. They also don’t use contractions... ever. “It is” instead of “it’s” type of thing. Again, not a big deal but really noticeable when it’s throughout the entire book. If you’re looking for haunted scary, I say skip it. If you like gross, go for it. It just wasn’t for me.

The House if Flesh and Bone

Pretty grusome tale of a family who moves into a home filled with evil intent.Little hard to follow at times with flasing between dreams and reality.Jason Paton(narrator)has a good voice for narration,BUT....has to work on his flow with words and creating individuality between characters. His narration runs flat.Nice little demon possesion story though.
