Publisher's Summary

Jacob Good was a man who could expect to see many ghosts. Angry spirits - and the wraiths of men and women filled with hate for Jacob - paraded their soured souls in front of him, surrounding Jacob with their rage.
After all, Jacob had killed a lot of people.
Now, a frightening, tragic ghost is taunting Jacob as he's about to retire, making his life a nightmare, and demanding that Jacob make sure the last guilty murderer doesn't miss his appointment with Jacob's noose. But who is to be Jacob's final victim? And do they deserve to escape the rope, or not? Will Jacob's last killing be a dreadful mistake?

Horror from Australia

If you haven't listened to any stories in this G. M. Hague horror series, you're in for a real treat. The author/narrator has a thick Australian accent that I find an amusing addition to the stories. This one is about an executioner who is haunted by seemingly innocent people that he had no choice but to put to death. "The Hangman's Ghost" is a short-ish story that isn't overly scary but was a fun, spooky read nonetheless! I would recommend this story to any listeners that enjoy light horror and aren't just in it for the pure scares.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
