Publisher's Summary

The snow was just the start....
On a night when it begins snowing in every country of the world, an ordinary group of people gather at a rundown English pub to take shelter from the cold. At first they assume the weather is just some random occurrence, but as the night goes on, strange things happen, and it isn't long before the group begin to realize that something far more sinister is at hand than just the weather. Something that none of them could ever have imagined. By the end of the night, not everyone will make it, and those that do may wish they hadn't.

This one will really mess with your head...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, heartily so. For some, the accents may be difficult, and the common language abit difficult to understand as well, but for overall interest and content, it is a wonderful story.

It is difficult to speak of it without revealing plot details, but needless to say, it will leave the listener thinking, deeply.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Nigel, for what will become obvious reasons to the listener.

Have you listened to any of Chris Barnes’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, so no base line.

If you could take any character from The Final Winter out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Nigel, as noted above.

Any additional comments?

There are many layers and movements to this fascinating story. I think it is difficult to comment on it withou revealing details, so all I can tell the prospective listener is to get this book and you will enjoy it as much as I did!

Bring Your Own Blanket and Hot Beverage!

Iain Rob Wright is a very skilled writer. His character driven books engage you completely. I've enjoyed this in print as well as the audio version. Both are excellent and highly recommended. The narrator did a fine job. However, you might want to listen to the sample if you find it difficult to follow heavy non-American accents. Mr. Barnes' Scottish accent is very much a part of the story. By the way, if I'm wrong and his accent is actually Irish, Welsh or something else, please forgive my ignorance! This is a great thriller!

Another narrated masterpiece by Chris Barnes.

What made the experience of listening to The Final Winter the most enjoyable?

Another great story by Iain Rob Wright with brilliant narration. The story builds up well and not everyone or everything is as it seems.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked Damien a young man with his own issues who's misunderstood. Most people think he is a thug but is he?

Which character – as performed by Chris Barnes – was your favourite?

Lucas, the lovable Irish rogue. Is Lucas all he seems to be?

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When people realised they were wrong about Damien.

Any additional comments?

Really enjoyed this audio it's a must listen for any lover of horror stories.

I really enjoyed this scare fest with a twisty tale, believable characters and too much horror for night driving and listening (for me)
