You really, really need to be an adult in both mind and years to listen to this story through to the end and not fling it aside. If you are deeply religious you will no doubt be horrified but if you can get past that and really listen to the message this book is trying to tell you, you may have an awakening.
This book is designed to shock….read it if you dare!
Excellent books, excellent writing.
Story is pretty original and it flows easily in your ears.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
It wasn't wasted time and I did enjoy it
Would you ever listen to anything by James Frey again?
I've read A million little pieces (brilliant) and My friend Leonard (Even better) but this just didn't come up to those standards
What aspect of the narrators’s performance might you have changed?
Some of the narratives were just too long, I got bored and though "yeah, yeah... get on with it" . A couple were VERY annoying, the way they spoke and the amount of swearing. It detracted from the storyline somewhat.
Do you think The Final Testament of the Holy Bible needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
One would be possible but I wouldn't read it
Any additional comments?
If you like Frey it doesn't follow that you will like this book. It's a little disjointed and the characters don't have any 'reason' to be there, why those particular people ? The bulk of the book was just 'there' the flow didn't seem right to me. No identifyable Beginning- middle- end really. I'm just disappointed in this book !

I love James Frey! A Million Little Pieces has been my favorite book since I first read it over a decade ago.
The Final Testament did not disappoint!
I certainly wouldn't recommend this book to a devoutly religious person as I think they would find the theme and message very confronting. I would highly recommend this book to whoever has questioned religion, government or any establishment that tells us how we should live our lives.
Frey has constructed a wonderfully story about the arrival of a new messiah who is here to tell us to worship love, not some fictional characters made up in the Stone Age. Unfortunately the messiahs message doesn't go down to well.
The story is told through servers characters who have witnessed the arrival of the new messiah and the voice actors on this audio book have done a sensational job bringing this story to life.
I hope that one day this book is made into a movie and Frey's story is told to a larger audience, the world as it is needs to hear this message.
