Publisher's summary

Was it a remarkable stroke of fate, or destiny which brought John Jacobson and his son together? His son was brought up in a household of hate and mistrust. He left home at an early age to try and seek out some sort of happiness in New York City. During this time, his real father, a truck driver, was unaware of his son's existence. What forces were in play to give his son the idea of leaving New York and heading to Florida? This story is an example of human stamina, integrity, and love beyond our understanding.

For me, a different reader would have helped.

Would you be willing to try another book from Daniel Allen DuBour? Why or why not?

Probably not, because it was too contrived.

How could the performance have been better?

Less sing song, drawn out diction

FATE

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The book is well written and the story line was great until the last few chapters.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The son's adventures were told in a very touching dialogue. That was helped out the great narrator the author used.

Which scene was your favorite?

I liked the scene where the son has a run in with a man at a truck stop. I would have thought that some one growing up on the streets of New York would not have been taken in so easy.

Any additional comments?

The audio book was well done and worth listening to but the last few chapters took the book to a different realm than life.

PHILOSOPHICAL QUESTION OF FATE

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fate, First Edition: The Jacobsons?

The best part of the story was the meeting of father and son.

What does Joshua Bennington bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
