The King first noticed her when she was sixteen – and with imperial greed he smashed her youthful love-affair with Harry Percy and began the process of royal seduction… But this was no ordinary woman, no maid-in-waiting to be possessed and discarded by a king. Very, Very Good!
I absolutely loved this book! Norah Lofts was such a talented writer! The details, conversations, and the historical events are so well intertwined with the story that makes it entirely believable.
The other great plus on this audio book was Patricia Gallimore's performance... She is one of my favorite narrators! Her performances and impersonations are always impeccable!
I absolutely recommend it!
A real disappointment
