Publisher's Summary

It's 1941 and Britain is at war. For the aristocratic Walsingham family this means their grand home being taken over by the armed forces. But for newcomers Ava, Maudie and Bella, this is a chance for something more.

Another Fantastic story from daisy styles, great characters lots of fun and sadness for the girls great story line, easy to get into, can't wait for her next book.
Narrated by Anne Dover who brings each and every character to life she is the best in my opinion, hope daisy styles sticks with Anne Dover doing the narration

A bit misleading

Not a bad story - corny at times. I was a little disappointed because I thought it would be about the role of women in code breaking during the war. Not a thing. Was really the story of the cooks - more about recipes.
