Most Helpful

Terrible reading but great stories.

Out of all the audiobooks I have listened to over the years this is the worst reading. Perhaps better stated as a emotionless narration. The stories are very good but the reading will cause the listener to lose focus and miss key points. I want a refund.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Bully & Other Stories to be better than the print version?

Yes, by far! The narrator infused the excitement the stories portray.

What did you like best about this story?

Out of the seven stories, I loved the signature story, The Bully. Something about Sam Young reminded me of Holden in The Catcher and the Rye.

What does Randall R. Rocke bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The intensity of the moment. Like when they kept towing the C-5 in Antarctica so it would not sink.

Who was the most memorable character of The Bully & Other Stories and why?

Definitely Sam Young! The scene in Wind and Rain when the airman's head is cut off by a rotor blade, and Sam retrieves the head was touching.

Any additional comments?

One of the best story collections I ever listened to!
