Derek, a lonely man on a journey to nowhere, makes a quick stop in the little town of Cider Springs. I would have liked it to be longer

Would you listen to The Awakening again? Why?

No, I rarely listen to titles multiple times

What other book might you compare The Awakening to and why?

It's pretty original, so I can't compare it to anything easily.

What about Bill Johnston’s performance did you like?

He did a great job with each character and made me feel like I was part of the group exploring the town

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Nope

Good fun read

I enjoyed listening to this book and the character Derek. The other characters I would have like more depth. The narrator did a good job and loved his weird deep voice of Evil. Felt it was definitely worth listening to but wanted more maybe if it was longer. Good reading

Any additional comments?

I liked the book but it did take me awhile to get into it. But once I connected with the story I couldn't put it down! I really enjoyed the narration. I finished in 1 night. Will definitely recommend.

Not too fond of this one

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. I just didn't think it was that good. I even listened to it all the way through hoping it would get better.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I have no idea.

What does Bill Johnston bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Where he made the demon sounded so real it was spooky.

Could you see The Awakening being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Not at all.
