enh

The characters in the first story turned me off, so I skipped to the second, which was was about an artist whose models were all brutally attacked after they finished posing for him. It was predictable and the characters were stereotypes (NYC cop, Irish Catholic girlfriend, gay art critic, emo artist, creepy artist's sidekick), but it held my attention for a little while. The third and final story was Stephen King's, "Things They Left Behind" about ghosts of the victims of the Sept. 11th attacks. Normally I love his short stories, but this one really fell flat.

Disappointing

Tedious stories, unimpressive plots. Only saving grace was the narrator - great voice. Difficult to finish.
