Publisher's Summary

His unspeakable past. Her insurmountable future.
Gabriel Rubachuk returns to Galena Landing, Idaho, once the setting of a charmed life before an accident killed his pregnant wife. Will he embrace hope for a new life or escape once again?
Beekeeper Sierra Riehl has spent three years helping to keep Gabe's health food store afloat while he worked with orphans in Romania. Now he's back, but it looks like he might bolt. Can she hold him still long enough to spark a romance? Sierra's hope falters when she begins to suspect she can't give Gabe the life he deserves.
Is new love sweet enough to overcome the pain of the past and the uncertainty of the future?
Sweetened with Honey is the third book in the Farm Fresh Romance series. This Christian romance series follows the adventures, romantic and otherwise, of a group of young women who purchase an old farm together in northern Idaho to grow their own organic food and prove to those around them that they can make a difference. These farm romance novels are stories of farm life with a focus on local food. The Farm Fresh Romance series doesn't pad the issues nor preach about them, but allows the characters the freedom to grapple with environmentalism and sustainability as believers.

Book 3 of this 5 stars series is 5 stars!

If you could sum up Sweetened with Honey in three words, what would they be?

Sweetened with Honey is truly another Wholesome, Real Christian romance story by Valerie Comer!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sweetened with Honey?

I am impressed by how Valerie's realistic Christian storytelling of the romance of Sierra and Gabe shares a beautiful journey of finding and holding fast to true love amidst flaws and struggles!

What about Becky Doughty’s performance did you like?

Becky amazingly continues to deliver such a realistic performance of Valerie's books through her narrations!

If you could take any character from Sweetened with Honey out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I would invite Sierra and Gabe to dinner to express my admiration for how through sharing their story they have given me another testament of how God works in our lives through His word, His supportive presence, and His children, our brothers and sisters, who He channels His love through!

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend Valerie Comer's books!

Loving this series!

If you could take any character from Sweetened with Honey out to dinner, who would it be and why?

The interactions of the three main girls in the series - Jo, Claire, and Sierra - are so well-written! I love the way they do community and how they are always willing to bring more people into their circle! Claire has been my favorite character throughout this series. I really appreciate her depth and the humility she shows in her faith. I also love the way she loves her friends. She shows her love for them by caring more about their spiritual well-being than anything else, and I love that! I would love to sit down for a chat with her!

Any additional comments?

While I love this series, and this book was good, I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the first two. The book is well-written and the plot is solid, and, like the others, I love that the three main characters are followers of Jesus who are concerned about sustainability and using our planet wisely! The only reason I didn't love this book quite as much as the others was that much of the plot revolved around a secret being kept and the consequences of that. This is one of my least favorite plot lines, so while the author wrote it well, I just didn't enjoy it quite as much as the others. I do love the characters of Sierra and Gabe, and I loved learning more of their stories and seeing the Lord bring healing into their lives.

I continue to highly recommend this series including this book!
