Generally okay
This is not Jay McInerny’s strongest book, but it is a quick, enjoyable read with some depth beneath a titillating exterior. I found the performance irksome, to say the least. For a book written in first person, the reader should sound like the character. This reader’s voice is too mature for a 20 year old young woman, and her “man” voice sounds like someone giving voice to a cartoon dog.
