Loved It!!

Where does Stormy Montana Sky rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

'Stormy Montana Sky' ranks in my top 20 in audiobooks! Natalie Ross has a beautiful narrating voice and gives very realistic emotion to the characters she's reading.

Who was your favorite character and why?

In this story, my favorite character was Harriet. She is vulnerable, with challenges to overcome, but she's also quite strong and not afraid to speak out for herself and for others. As the town's schoolteacher, much of her focus and efforts are on the children of Sweetwater Springs, and she does all she can to ensure they have what they need and are well educated. At times she puts herself in dangerous situations because she is thinking of the needs of children and not of her own safety. She is a very admirable character.

Have you listened to any of Natalie Ross’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to Natalie Ross in the first two Montana Sky books. This performance was just as good as the other two. Somehow, her German accent ended up sounding more Russian, but that is a small point considering her Spanish accent is perfect! I'm amazed that she is able to keep her characters' voices the same from book to book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, when Harriet accidentally overheard the conversation between Nick and Elizabeth Sanders at their old house, during their move. It was heart-wrenching for Harriet as she thought she was in love with Nick and had hoped he would marry her.

Even more moving was the first dream scene where 'Ant' discovered his wife was trapped under the beam and he was trying to rescue sad. He fought to get to her and save her only to find her in her final moments.

Any additional comments?

I didn't think 'Stormy Montana Sky' could be better than the first two books in the series, but it is. There is more action and drama, and several of the characters encounter very real danger! I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

**I was given a code for the audiobook of 'Stormy Montana Sky' by the author for honest review.

Outstanding, heartwarming story

What did you love best about Stormy Montana Sky?

The narration was outstanding, the story was so heartwarming that you do not want to put it down.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It is so hard to just pick one, David had such a hard life, seeing his mother killed. Trying to live with an abusive father than having to learn to get over his fear and lean to grow with no fear, learning to talk. My heart breaks for him.

Which character – as performed by Natalie Ross – was your favorite?

Again so hard to pick, Natalie does so many wonderful characters. I could listen to her read all day and never get tired of it. I just do not have a favorite..because they all are my favorite....sorry...

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it was very hard to put down, as all of Debra's are. She is an outstanding author that writes wonderful stories that are very believable. I truly love all the books she has wrote and look forward to reading many more from her. She is one of my all time favorite authors.

Any additional comments?

It was truly heartbreaking to watch Harriet in the last story as well as this one watch the man she love fall for another and marry. I really adored her in both stories and was so glad to see her get a story of her own. It was wonderful watching her find the true man of her dreams.

Ant is a wonderful man who has spent so many years looking for his nephew and the killer of his sister. He has had a very hard life, first his wife dies and then he walks in to find his sister dead. It was a pleasure watching him find them and put an end to his brother-in-law.

It was a pleasure to watch him and Harriet fall in love and watch the trying time they had. The town is a wonderful place that I have grown to love over the last few books in this series. Some of the town people you will love but as in most towns there are the few you can't stand. As in all small towns everyone knows everyone's business it is just a great town all the way around. Debra puts so much thought into her stories as she gives you many twists and turns to make it a not only a wonderful read but and outstanding plot.

David he broke my heart so much pain, sorrow and love there. To watch him come out of his shell was wonderful. I hope to see more of this family in Debra's books, it will be a pleasure to watch him grown and learn. I can only imagine what it must have been like for him to watch and see so much in his young life. The author paints a wonderful compelling story around him as she brings wonderful characters together to build a family with David.

As always Natalie Ross does an outstanding job narrating. her many different voices she brings to her stories are wonderful. She is one of my favorite narrators, you know when you see her name it is going to be a wonderful listen. She paints a wonderful colorful story that the author writes. Making it one of the best audio's you will listen to.

I have read or listen to many of Debra's books and each one is better than the last. She is truly a wonderful outstanding author and one of my favorites. I know when I pick up one of her books it is going to be a wonderful outstanding read or listen. She picks the best narrators and I know she will never let me down. I truly adore Debra Holland stories and can't wait for the next one.
