Great book!
What a wonderful book. I love Nadine and Lettie characters. Jenny Sue shows such strength of character. So many mountains have been overcome in an emotional reunion. Healing and love brought peace to all.

Performance was mediocre
The story was one told a million times just a different variation. It was easy listening and I enjoyed it but it was very predictable.
I was disappointed in the narration. The narrator’s voice was irritating when she tried to speak like a man. The story was supposed to be set in West Texas but the wording and accent of the narrator was all wrong for West Texas. I know that because I’ve lived there. It sounded more like Alabama or Georgia; a southern bell type speech and wording.
It’s a typical Carolyn Brown novel. If you like her you’ll probably like this book.

Fluffy and fun.
This is pure escapism and fluff. Sometimes you need that! Occasionally it’s fun to read a book that isn’t complicated and doesn’t require much thought. I enjoyed this book for what it is.
