Publisher's summary

Schoolhouse is a haunting, colorful novel of the history of Colorado, and the people that made it happen. It is a story as rich and colorful as the gold that founded the great state and its boom-towns.

Schoolhouse will take you on the unforgettable journey of the men and women who went west to find gold in the late 1850s and the birth of the boom-towns of Denver and then City Central. It will take you into the new millennium and allow you to visit the impacts of the gold rush on the Native Americans, and some of their spirits that were left behind.

Good story, twisty

Would you try another book from Alex Lizzi Jr. and/or Larry A. Brewer?

I would try one from Alex, but not Larry Brewer's.

Would you be willing to try another one of Larry A. Brewer’s performances?

Probably not. His monotone voice and lack of character definition made a good book into a hard listen.

Colorado ghosts

What did you like best about Schoolhouse? What did you like least?

I liked the events in the nursing home with the nurses and patients both seeing the ghosts.
I didn't like how slow the story moved, and lack of descriptions of the characters in the book.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The mystery and the solving of it was my favorite. The least would have been how the administrators of the nursing home treated it's employees.

Would you be willing to try another one of Larry A. Brewer’s performances?

No, he was just too monotone for me.

Did Schoolhouse inspire you to do anything?

Not really.

Great story, keeps you wanting to listen

I received this book free from ebalst, and this is my unbiased opion. I listen to alot of books and this one is really good. I enjoyed every minute. I did not give it 5 stars only because the end was so abrupt. I'm not sure what the author could have done differently, I just know I was not ready for it to be over.

Schoolhouse

School House : Alex Lizzi Jr

This novel is a suspense, mystery, bit of romance with a historical fiction embedded in the storyline. It hooked me from the start and kept me in its grip to the very end. I enjoyed this book.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Larry A. Brewer voice was the perfect choice, especially in the historical fiction sections.
